Shelf Life Air Jordan 2 Low Store List

As South Africa’s leading sneaker showcase, Shelflife takes on a special responsibility as an educator and storyteller influencing the country’s long-established streetwear culture. In keeping with Jordan Brand’s commitment to spotlighting local retailers and their communities, Jumpman’s first-ever collaboration on the African continent works in tandem with the aforementioned brand for an Air Jordan 2 Low proposal.

Founded in 2006 by Nick Herbert, the brand’s beginnings as a graffiti supply store were sewn from the bodacious art style that littered its hometown of Kalk Bay, Capetown. Continuing to center its creative visualization around the medium, the brand’s “TEAM ONLY” spirit bridges the gap between the international market and the local market.

Indulging in a blank canvas that appeals to all graffiti artists, smooth white leathers fill the mudguard and collar while rugged suede finished in a ‘Light Bone’ treatment presides over the entire upper construction, of the quarter and the tongue. Offering a single sample of the tonal spectrum, a titular hue of “Safety Orange” anchors the laces, winged insignia placed on the tongues, and “Shelflife” branded insoles. The silhouette’s molded heel counter contrasts in a vibrant cream hue while the established orange hue returns to the tread hold sections and “TEAM ONLY” embroidered tabs sewn along the inner lining.

Slated to hit the brand’s stores in Cape Town and Johannesburg on October 20, an online release will follow the following day, October 21. In the meantime, enjoy official images from the Shelflife x AJ 2 capsule collection featuring multiple garments below.
